The Whitsunday's are serviced by two domestic airports, Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island and Whitsunday Coast Airport on the mainland at Proserpine. Flying time is approximately 1.5 hours north of Brisbane, 2 hours north of Sydney, 3 hours from Melbourne and 1.5 hours from Cairns to Hamilton. Direct services operate from Cairns, Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne, with domestic and international connections via Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns airports. From Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island) Cruise Whitsundays meet flights for a comfortable transfer to Long Island.
From Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) regular Whitsunday Transit Coaches meet all flights for a 30 minute transfer to Shute Harbour and Abel Point Marina where Cruise Whitsundays provide a regular 15 minute service to Long Island Resort.

BY ROAD:
The Whitsunday's can be accessed by the Bruce Highway which covers the East coast of Queensland from Cairns to Brisbane. Dependant on conditions, driving time from Brisbane is approximately 12 hours north to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour and 8 hours south from Cairns. Regular coach services also operate into Airlie Beach. Secure Car Parking is available at Shute Harbour close to the launch departure. BY RAIL:
Regular daily train services depart from Brisbane, heading North and from Cairns and Townsville heading South. A Whitsunday Transit Coach service is available from Proserpine Rail Station with launch connection from Shute Harbour to Long Island Resort.
